Paris part 1

Can't believe that 5 years passed by already since my first visit.
People say things change but some don't - such as Louvre, beautiful as always :)

Again I've abandoned the blog for a while..
BUT I will have some updates soon!
Have a few big events to attend these days and...I'm going to Italy again this summer!!
Actually Southern Italy and Paris.. I know the best would be just southern Italy but we just can't give up Paris somehow...
Wish I had more holidays and budget to travel more!

Shaved ice - Asami

We visited Nagatoro area in Chichibu, Saitama the other day and went to the local hidden gem - Asami Reizo, a Japanese cafe famous for its shaved ice (かき氷).

Nothing can be better than having delicate natural shaved ice made from spring water in the Japanese yard in a warm day. I was just so happy that we found this place!

We ordered White Peach and the Kuromitsu Maccha Azuki. The shaved ice just melt right away while I poured the Kuromitsu syrup over it.

Definitely worth the trip if you have a car and have a chance to visit this area.

This weekend!

Eventually my husband is taking a day off and we are planning to visit somewhere near Tokyo.
The cherry blossom season is almost over but here comes spring...

In front of our office

My favorite Sakura Season in Japan!All cherry blossom trees blooming in front our office in Akasaka in Tokyo, mostly in pale pink and some pure white.
Actually the road itself is called Sakura-zaka which means the slope of cherry blossom.
The Randy Cafe right beside the building is also famous as a filming location for TV shows and news, 
which now is 100% seated during lunch hours as well as after work.

萌木の村 / Moegi no Mura

I totally forgot to post these photos before summer arrived.
On the trip to Togakushi, we also stopped by Moegi no Mura in Yamanashi.
It's such a cute little village with souvenir shops.
And if you have pets travelling with you, there are many pet-friendly restaurants and cafes here allowing pets dining inside and outside.

Togakushi Shrine

Long time no see and I'm back with photos from our trip to Yamanashi and Nagano last month.

The famous Togakushi Shrine sits in the Mount Togakushi area consisting of five shrines -- Houkousha, Hinomikosha, Chusha, Kuzuryusha, Okusha. The major three are Okusha, Chusha and Hokousha, also know as upper, middle and lower shrine.
The Mount Togakushi has been considered one of the most famous "power spot" containing mysterious energy :)  and the Togakushi Shrine is said to be established 210 B.C.
The pash leading up to the upper shrine has all the gigantic cedar trees and it was purely inspiring.

I would really suggest a trip to this area if you have the opportunity to visit Nagano.
Or if you live near Tokyo it can be a perfect weekend getaway too! =)

Fall

After busy weeks for 12SS exhibitions, as well as business trip to China, I finally had a 3-day off weekend with my family =)
So we visited Karuizawa -  a small mountain resort area just 2 hour drive from Tokyo.
It was just the best.. to be with my husband and our dogs and to take a break from the metropolitan. Fresh air, open space, great scenery and yummy food! Anything could be better than this? :P
