萌木の村 / Moegi no Mura

I totally forgot to post these photos before summer arrived.
On the trip to Togakushi, we also stopped by Moegi no Mura in Yamanashi.
It's such a cute little village with souvenir shops.
And if you have pets travelling with you, there are many pet-friendly restaurants and cafes here allowing pets dining inside and outside.

South Izu

Visited the southest point of Izu penninsula a few weeks ago. not many photos taken but it was better than anything to escape from the city and work for a weekend =)

and btw I know people are all worried about the nucleat plants in Japan but so far it's all good here in Tokyo and most areas except the cities around the Fukushima plants.

New year looks

I went back to Shanghai for the Chinese New Year(Lunar new year).
It's been 4 years since I lived in the US without going home for the Chinese New Year..
Fortunately I'm now living in Tokyo.. just 2-3 hour flight to Shanghai =)
It's always good to see some old friends and go shopping together! and especially we found these Ann Demeulemeester red wedges on sale!! yay! I have been looking for these short ankle version for a few months.. sold out in the states and not available in Japan.. but finally they are mine now!

Minamigaoka Ranch

We visited Nasu-Kougen a few days ago and it was a lot of fun!

It was the third time for me to stay at a traditional Japanese ryokan (hotel) though this one was a little new and it has only 7 rooms. Cheesecake at the famous Cheese Garden, then Dinner, Onsen(hot spring) and SPA at the hotel on the first day =)




Then the second day.. traditional style of breakfast! Wish I could eat these many course everyday!!



Before heading back to Tokyo, we visited Minamigaoka Ranch.

Happy 2011!

How was everyone's countdown for 2011?

Last year I was in Shanghai with my husband and my families, and this time we were in Tokyo with his families =)

nothing too exciting or dramatic but it was so nice taking a break with families!



I always tried to write about the past year, give myself some review.. but maybe not too much this time.
There have been so many changes in 2010: graduation, marriage and moving to another country...  life is getting better and I'm closer to my dream now =)

so excited for this year because I already have a list of plans!

haha I'm probably the kind of person who don't look back at all.. lol


oh and sorry for my getting-even-broken English.. :P

Nashville trip

I don't have many photos from the trip..

so here are the only ones I have.


Went to see the couture exhibition on Sunday @ the Frist center.
Unfortunately they don't allow photos inside.
They had amazing pieces from Givenchy, Dior, Balenciaga and Balmain.
and it really reminds me of the experience of the Capucci museum in Firenze
and when I saw the shoes... I just wanted to go back to the Ferragamo museum in Firenze too.






Oh and my dog Pudding loves cars... She always enjoys road trip with us...jumping around in the car for hours... and she has her own seat in the middle...

Hippo and Marni

The title is totally random but I did visit a bookstore on Charlotte Ave in Nashville with friends.

The owner probably LOVES hippo.. There were things about hippo everywhere in the store and out.. on the boards around or huge "statue near the ceiling" as well as tiny little decoration stuff on his table..





and yes the best find in Nashville... was these Marni wedges.



they are exactly what I need for now. wide straps, shiny fabrics in dark color, some rhinestone and clog-ish wedge without looking too "clog" and wooden....

SAME shoes & DIFFERENT dress..

I tried wearing these boots with my other Marni dress.

The print is very very similar to the other orange one just the color is totally different. And the cutting of them is different too... well so they are DIFFERENT but my mom kept asking me why I bought the same dress again.. and they have their own 雰囲気!!!!

this one is much shorter. It says it's top. I guess it is a tunic top as you would probably have to wear shorts or something under it because once you lift your arm. people can see your underwear..lol

OH BTW, I love dresses that have pockets!! :P

Fluorescent/summer/art

I LOVE THE PRINT. as you can tell already...
There's nothing better than the painting-ish dress.
and it is also the reason why I adore everything Marni soo much.
Their prints and shape always remind me of art and especially these bold color blocks make me want to pick up my paintbrushes and make some new work!

And of course, these Margiela booties took my heart again when I saw them.
they just look like the long boots melted in the summer heat!! :P











Can you see my clothing rack on the right in the last photo? haha the other pink dress/top is actually peaking out.... hope I'll get a chance to show you sooon.

Here's what I received in mail today!!

YAY!!!

My heart has been with them since the day I saw them few seasons ago in the photo!
and it was like a dream come true in real life when I put them on in the store!!!
I AM IN LOVE!!

and what I brought back from the mecca!!! I didn't buy any other things from the store because the crazy shopping before that was really a damage to my wallet already!!.. but at least I can take this :P
I still don't really wanna cut the strings and open it...lol

and how funny... see almost all my favorite designer begins with M... hmmmm
