Fall

After busy weeks for 12SS exhibitions, as well as business trip to China, I finally had a 3-day off weekend with my family =)
So we visited Karuizawa -  a small mountain resort area just 2 hour drive from Tokyo.
It was just the best.. to be with my husband and our dogs and to take a break from the metropolitan. Fresh air, open space, great scenery and yummy food! Anything could be better than this? :P

Montefioralle, a breathtaking miniature village in Greve in Chianti area.
It only has one main street and that's it! The tiniest place I've ever seen so far...

I had been missing Toscana so much. I was in Florence for over 4 months 3 years ago during my Junior year in college as a part of the study abroad program. And I fell in love with the place and had always wanted to go back there again.
Especially since I moved to Tokyo last October, I realized how much I am missing the laid back life in Ohio, and everything about Italy.
It was just like a dream to be back in Toscana/Tuscany. At some moment, I even thought I had never left.. =)

For sure I will be back again! And hope one day I will be able to stay there for longer...

Ciao! sorry I have been missing for over 2 months...! (two months!!!!)
pretty much stressed out by work everyday

good news is... you know what...
shhhhhh... I'll have two-week vacation in Europe!
I still remember the days when I was studying in Florence, Italy more than 3 years ago.
And I have been seriously missing it too much that I know I will visit there again!
This time with my hubby! :P

Bad news... I lost my domain "www.heelsandmacarons.com" !!!
I will see how I can get it back from the provider but that seems to be a little tricky..

Anyways... I will try get back to one-post-a-week pace..

Visited the southest point of Izu penninsula a few weeks ago. not many photos taken but it was better than anything to escape from the city and work for a weekend =)

and btw I know people are all worried about the nucleat plants in Japan but so far it's all good here in Tokyo and most areas except the cities around the Fukushima plants.

Back in Tokyo

There have been several earthquakes since yesterday.. even when we were still getting out of the plane yesterday afternoon, another M7.1 earthquake hit...

But people here are so strong that everyone has faith in the recovery of the country.

Really nice weather today and look at the fully blossomed sakura outside of the balcony!

Hello there
Sorry that I have disappeared for so long..

I was back in Shanghai on 17th last month, then was in London since 22nd for a week..
and now I'm in Hong Kong..
It's been a while since last time I travelled alone to New York in last summer :P
It's just too good to have some time alone just as when I was still single haha

However the entire world is still concerned about the situations in Japan, the people there are trying their best to recover as much as possible from the earthquake and trying to get back on track. I will head back to Tokyo on 11th finally and start working on 21st. Nothing could be any better than seeing my family there again right? =D

Pray for Japan

It was really scary when the earthquake hit Japan two days ago.
I was home alone with my puppies and fortunately it was M5 in Tokyo so we are all safe..

All TV channels have been broadcasting about the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power leak problems.. I still can't believe it's not movies scenes but the reality that is happening hundreds of miles from where I am..
So worried about people in the other areas..

I don't when all the disasters will stop but let's all pray for the country and the people here.
Just hope for the best...

New year looks

I went back to Shanghai for the Chinese New Year(Lunar new year).
It's been 4 years since I lived in the US without going home for the Chinese New Year..
Fortunately I'm now living in Tokyo.. just 2-3 hour flight to Shanghai =)
It's always good to see some old friends and go shopping together! and especially we found these Ann Demeulemeester red wedges on sale!! yay! I have been looking for these short ankle version for a few months.. sold out in the states and not available in Japan.. but finally they are mine now!
